With the objective of reducing suffering, increasing human dignity, and saving lives for Rohingya communities, particularly women and girls in FDMN camp and surrounding host communities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char, Islamic Relief Bangladesh has started implementing a new project spanning from 1 Oct 2024 to 31 Mar 2027. This new project titled “Integrated Humanitarian Assistance to improve the Shelter, WASH, and LPG vulnerability for the Forcefully Displaced Myanmar Nationals living in Ukhiya and Bhasan Char (IHSAN)” is funded by Islamic Relief USA with a budget of USD 3 million. The project estimates to provide support to almost 100000 rightsholders directly & indirectly.

The major expected outcomes of the project are:
Increased access to safe shelter and NFIs for FDMN camps and surrounding host communities in Cox’s Bazar district.
Improved safe, gender-sensitive WASH use among women, men, girls, and boys in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char.
Increased usage of LPG cylinders to ensure basic cooking facilities for the Rohingya families in Bhasan Char.
