Talha Jamal, an Indian citizen, is a highly experienced professional in the International Humanitarian and Development sector, boasting 24 years of expertise. He holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Magadh, BodhGaya, a Masters in Disaster Management from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical, and Technology, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service.
Throughout his career, Talha has held key roles at prominent organizations, including Islamic Relief Worldwide, PLAN International, the European Commission Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO), Action Aid International-India, United Nations Development Programme, and Indian Network for Participatory Irrigation Management.
Talha excels in securing and managing grants from institutional donors and foundations, including SIDA, DFID/FCDO, USAID, ECHO, ADH, BMZ, DEC, and the START Fund, showcasing his competence in financial management and donor relations. His extensive experience extends to building and managing multi-sector complex programs, covering thematic areas such as livelihoods, climate change, disaster risk reduction, resilience building, child rights/child protection, gender justice, human rights, peace-building, and social cohesion.
